The Ebenezer Elliot Literary and Heritage Walk

Starting at the Maurice Dobson Museum, walk the paths and fields of Darfield and Brierley Common and retrace the footsteps of Ebenezer Elliot, ‘the Corn Law Rhymer’ – one of Darfield’s most famous sons. Elliott was a poet and political radical with a reputation equal to that of Wordsworth and during the 1840s he made Darfield Parish his home. This activity – part walk, part workshop, part discussion – will be sure to surprise you and get your imagination flowing.…

Our annual Carols on the Patio is on Monday the 17th at 7 pm. Join us for an evening of traditional carols followed by mulled wine and mince pies. Our Christmas raffle will be drawn on the night, where all funds are going to Embrace. Hope to see you there!

MUSEUM RE-OPENING
